Hydreigon
VGC Guide
Hydreigon's Dark/Dragon typing provides Psychic immunity and five resistances, while Levitate adds Ground immunity. This combination of offensive coverage (Draco Meteor, Heat Wave, Flash Cannon) and defensive profile makes it one of the hardest non-restricted Pokémon to pivot around in Regulation I.
Dark/Dragon + Levitate: Triple Immunity Combination
Dark typing provides full Psychic immunity — Calyrex-Shadow and Reuniclus deal zero damage with their primary STAB. Dragon typing contributes four resistances (Fire, Water, Grass, Electric). Levitate adds Ground immunity to the package, including spread Earthquake.
The cost is a 4× Fairy weakness (Dark 2× and Dragon 2× stack), plus 2× to Fighting and Bug. Flash Cannon coverage directly addresses the Fairy weakness — which is why most Hydreigon sets run it over other coverage options.
