Core Mechanics
假動作
Fake Out
Priority +3 move that causes flinch. Used by Incineroar and Weavile; a core turn-control move in VGC.

Parting Shot
Lowers the opponent’s Attack and Special Attack, then forces a switch. Incineroar’s signature support move.
戲法空間
Trick Room
Reverses move order so the slowest Pokemon moves first (5 turns). Core of slow-attacker team archetypes.
順風
Tailwind
Doubles the user’s team speed for 4 turns. Used by Tornadus, Whimsicott, and other fast support types.
保護
Protect
Fully negates damage for the turn. Mandatory in doubles — used to scout moves, stall weather, and dodge targeting.
太晶化
Terastallize
Changes a Pokemon’s type to its Tera Type once per battle. The ultimate offensive/defensive wildcard.
威嚇
Intimidate
Ability that lowers the opponent’s physical Attack on switch-in. Incineroar is the primary user.
分裂
Spread Move
Hits both opponents at 75% power. Examples: Earthquake, Blizzard, Heat Wave.
誘導
Redirection
Redirects opponent’s moves to a specific target. Indeedee’s Follow Me and Amoonguss’s Rage Powder are key.
速度超越
Speed Creep
Investing minimal Speed EVs (4-8) to win speed ties against identical base-speed opponents.
Stats & Training Terms
種族值
Base Stats
The six innate stat values (HP/Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe) for each species. Fixed regardless of individual Pokemon.
個體值
Individual Values (IVs)
Hidden 0-31 values for each stat. Perfect IVs (31) maximize stats; 0 Speed IVs are used for Trick Room.
努力值
Effort Values (EVs)
Hidden training points (max 252/stat, 510 total). The primary way to customize a Pokemon’s stats in VGC.
性格
Nature
Raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. Example: Adamant (+Atk / -SpA), Jolly (+Spe / -SpA).
努力值分配
EV Spread
The specific allocation of 510 EVs across six stats. Directly determines final Level 50 stat values.
能力值
Stat (Final)
The actual Level 50 value calculated from base stats, IVs, EVs, and nature. VGC uses Level 50.
特性
Ability
Passive effect. Key examples: Intimidate, Protosynthesis, Quark Drive, Drizzle, Drought.
持有道具
Held Item
The item a Pokemon carries. Key examples: Assault Vest, Choice Specs, Life Orb, Booster Energy.
